Lock down kirtan Thursday 30 April 2020
A kirtan was planned to take place at Wivenhoe Bookshop Shed today. Unfortunately I'm not set up to offer the session live online so instead,
I've recorded two short videos for you to access the practices online at a time that suits you.
I used a mobile phone so the videos are raw, unplugged, uncut and the sound and visual quality is what it is!
Please keep in mind that these videos are not really offered as a performance for entertainment! As a mantra and kirtan practitioner and facilitator I very much enjoy gathering together with others to co-create sound, we sing as one voice to harmonise mind, body and soul, sending this vibration out to our own lives, families, friends and the wider world. Fairly untrained and self taught I consider myself to be a group sound facilitator rather than a solo singer or musician and this is a participatory event!
I hope you will sing along with me, experiment with your own voice, harmonise if you like, play other instruments, clap, dance, whatever works for you.
If you're locked down with others who might enjoy this experience I'd love to think of you singing as a group in the comfort of your own home.
Let me know how you get on...
I am available to share kirtan heartsong at your yoga studio, retreat, festival, hen do, team building day, conference or other event.
I offer lighthearted accessible kirtan suitable for all regardless of experience. I have sung with adults, children, teenagers and OAPs – there’s something for everyone from meditative chants to jolly bouncy songs.
Please get in touch for availability and fees.
